Hello, and welcome. I’m Helen Edgar, and this is Autistic Realms.
I’m Autistic and ADHD, a former SEND teacher, writer, educator, advocate and consultant. Everything here is neuro-affirming and identity-first.
This page is a gentle starting point. You’ll find my top guides on monotropism and burnout, my writing, free and pay-what-you-can resources, and support for families, parents, carers and professionals supporting Autistic people. There are also courses and books I have created with David Gray-Hammond’s NeuroHub Community, Stimpunks, and many other communities I’m part of.
Take your time. You can grow a garden as you scroll, or switch it off if it’s too much. You can turn on the music, Echoes of the Mind, played by my son.
Wherever you start, I’m glad you’re here. Check out my sibling site www.morerealms.com for everything else.
If reading is easier another way, press the Reading preferences button beside the menu: you can make the text larger, change the font, or follow the Ear-reading link to have any page read aloud.
Best wishes, Helen
