Autism is not linear: why functioning labels are harmful and Autistic profiles are spiky.

Category: ,

Description

A graphic with a rainbow spectrum bar running from 'Low Functioning' to 'High Functioning', with a spiky line drawn across it to show that profiles are uneven. Underneath it says autism is a difference of neurotype, autism is not linear, functioning labels are harmful and everyone has their own specific needs. I made it to challenge the idea of a straight line from low to high. It could help in school meetings, training sessions and conversations with family, or be shared online.
