A square graphic in a clear, plain font that reframes everyday language about monotropism. Under the heading 'instead of…' it lists obsessions, stuck on one activity, disengaged or not listening, and repetitive behaviours. Under 'consider…' it offers passions, being in a flow state and inertia, trying to juggle attention resources, and stimming to help regulate. I made it for teachers, parents and practitioners who want kinder words, and it works well on a staff room wall, a training slide or a social media share.
