Description

“The deep, single channel of attention in a monotropic person’s mind when an interest pulls them in. Inside the tunnel there is heightened awareness and the rest of the world may seem to fade away. Dinah Murray first described this as attention tunnelling (D. Murray, 1992). Attention tunnels can bring flow and rest, but leaving one quickly is hard, so sudden interruptions can be painful.”
