Image of night sky Text: Panpsychism A universe conceptualised entirely in terms of dynamic feedback/learning loops leads to a panpsychic philosophy in which consciousness is omnipresent, at all levels of scale, which is compatible with Eastern spiritual traditions such as Buddhism and Daoism. It invites us to consider non-anthropocentric viewpoints, it alerts us to the cultural bias that is inherent in modern industrialised notions of "intelligence" and "success", and it draws attention to the lower and upper limits of human scale, including our cognitive limitations and emotional limitations. Description

A quote card on panpsychism from Jorn Bettin of Autistic Collaboration (December 2024), over a starry night sky and mountains. It describes a universe understood through feedback and learning loops, and invites non-human viewpoints and questions about narrow ideas of intelligence and success. It could be a share for readers who enjoy big ideas and a link back to the AutCollab article.
