Description

Hyperempathy is one of the 222 words in the Neuro-Affirming Glossary of Key Words and Terms (2026 Edition). This card has the word, its short definition and its symbol, as a 1080 × 1080 PNG for screens, slides, handouts or social media. The card reads:

“Feeling other people’s emotions, and sometimes the mood of animals, places and situations, so strongly that they can be overwhelming or hard to separate from your own. Many Autistic and ADHD people describe this, which contradicts the old claim that Autistic people lack empathy (Fletcher-Watson & Bird, 2020). It can sit alongside alexithymia: feeling a lot while finding it hard to name what is felt.”

Pay what you like for a single card, from £1 (suggested £2). If you would like every card, the Neuro-Affirming Glossary 2026 Bundle includes the e-book and the complete 222-card deck, with print files and A4 posters. All 222 words are also free to read on the Glossary page.

No watermark on your download. The small Autistic Realms watermark is only on the shop preview picture. The card you download is clean, with no watermark.
