Written for parents, carers and educators, it explains what monotropism means for the sensory system, communication, executive functioning and wellbeing, and reframes traits often labelled as “obsessions” or “stuck behaviour” as passions, flow states and vital ways of regulating. Each of the six key ideas comes with practical, low-demand suggestions for supporting Autistic young people at home and at school, alongside a further reading list and signposting to trusted resources.
