This is a downloadable, print-at-home card deck designed for Autistic people, neurodivergent communities, support groups, educators, practitioners, and anyone who wants to connect on their own terms.
The Penguin Pebbling Game offers a low-demand, sensory-affirming way to build genuine connection — not through forced conversation, but through the things that actually matter to us: shared interests, mutual support, presence without performance, and the quiet language of care.
The deck includes five card suits:
🪨 Penguin Pebbling — small gestures of care and connection; “I saw this and thought of you” 💬 Infodumping — sharing what you love, in depth and at length; a sign of deep trust 🤝 Support Swapping — mutual aid at the human scale; capacity fluctuates, needs are not a weakness 🐧 Parallel Play — being alone, together; connection without demand, presence without performance 🫧 Deep Pressure — regulation is relational; grounding your sensory system, being held in your environment
Each card includes a reflection prompt or group invitation, with a reminder to share in whatever way feels right — speaking, writing, drawing, AAC, gesture, or any other form of communication.

Download the PDF, print double-sided on card stock, and cut to size. The cards are designed to be used flexibly — in groups, in pairs, in community sessions, in classrooms, or at home. There is no fixed order, no right way to play, and no requirement to speak.
